The football season is nearly over, spring training is in full gear and baseball’s boys of summer will soon be taking the field. I love sports, but my children are much more passionate about it than me. They know everything about every player, what his key stats are, what teams he used to play for and how much he is making. But what they love most about sports is when their Dad takes them to a sporting event.

One of my fondest childhood memories is of my own Dad taking me to see a New York Knicks game in Madison Square Garden. It was around 1971 and Bobby Russell and his Dad and me and my Dad made the 2 hour drive from New Haven to see my beloved Knicks. I was only 9 at the time but I remember everything about that glorious day. I even remember Dean Meminger getting a standing ovation. continue reading…

The Top 10 blogging genre has become very popular in 2010. So I am going to go with the top 10 list of Internet directories of translators/translation agencies. These directories have searchable databases with thousands of translators and translation agencies. They are very helpful when you need to find a translator or translation company. Some of these portals offer an online marketplace that allows you to post translation jobs.

Microsoft made news last week by adding Haitian Creole translation to their Bing online translation tool. Not to be left behind, Google also added an Alpha version of this language to the Google translation tool. I have not seen a mention of this on any of the official Google blogs or anywhere else, so you read it here first! Check on my blog frequently for the latest in translation industry news.
