Israel-based Babylon, the makers of the popular translation dictionaries, has launched a new professional translation service. See http://www.lingoz.com.
Babylon products now come with a link to this website which allows users to buy professional translation services online. This gives Babylon direct access to a customer base that is numbered in the millions. Google attempted to launch a similar service in 2008 (the Google Translation Center) but aborted the effort almost as soon as it was launched.
